birth of liberty
On the night of July 4th, at 10 pm, amidst the crackling fireworks, our little lady, Liberty (also known as Libby), was born. We had eagerly awaited this moment for 9 months. Liberty is the offspring of a special New Zealand bull named Chuck, for whom we had straws specially ordered for Cocoa.
The arrival of Liberty was a challenging process. When Cocoa's progress slowed down, which was unusual, we stepped in and discovered that one of Liberty's legs was positioned correctly while the other front leg was tucked and folded back. To prevent losing both of them, one of our team members had to carefully reposition the leg to facilitate Cocoa's delivery. It took about 10 minutes and the effort of three individuals to safely bring her into the world.
We cant help but felt immense pride and joy in our hearts. The timing of her birth, coinciding with the nation's celebration of freedom and independence, feels almost poetic. It seemed as though she was meant to be a symbol of hope and new beginnings for us all and we can not wait to continue to share her journey.
